Kellee Byard was born in Michigan and now resides in Seattle where she is the Sustainable Communities Program Coordinator for Washington State University Extension in Snohomish, Washington. 

Kellee is also a talented artist who paints a variety of subjects, from landscapes to animals to whimsical creatures and more. Her watercolor painting of Little Sable Point Lighthouse presents the 115-foot tall lighthouse at night with a full moon looking on. The lighthouse is located in Silver Lake State Park near Mears, Michigan. Learn more. This lighthouse graces the cover of the suspense novel Devil in the Dunes that is set in West Michigan.
